Ok I have to say something here about all of the mob characters being created lately. I like the mob stories as much as anyone can especially given the overkill on the show but this is getting bloody ridiculous. The Zacharras I can almost understand because Sason needs their enemies/rivals to do battle with (though if you ask me, Lorenzo Alcazar filled the bill nicely & killing him off was a complete waste...he was much nicer on the eyes (for my shallow moment...LOL) and someone that matched Sason pretty evenly until the writers got bored with him). But since the Zacharras came aboard, there have been three more mobsters cast....not just in the last year, in the past few weeks. We have Karpov, we have this blonde mobster whatever his name is going to be (and he's a second Russian by the way) and now this guy from the Sopranos. This is getting ridiculous!

I was actually on my way to liking the Karpov angle until I read today that he was brought on specifically to give Kelly Monaco a storyline. While I am no Sam fan, I would never begrudge those who are fans of hers a story because as an Alexis fan, I know what its like to see a favorite character directionless & without story but bringing on a mobster for her to take on by herself. Really?? They couldn't come up with another story? Either the writers are complete morons or I'm brilliant because I can think of a good half dozen story ideas at least for Sam & Lucky but they have to bring on this contrived mob stuff....Apparently Guza & pals know how to write nothing else.

If that's not bad enough, this guy from the Sopranos coming onto GH...he gets the award for biggest waste of a "kinda big name for GH" as my husband put it last night. He coulda come on simply as a rival to Sason but no....he's cast as a father to TWO NON-CONTRACT DAY PLAYERS. Dude!! WTH are they thinking? There is no way that Max & Milo are deserving of a storyline or receiving family members when there is a whole host of characters who are actually on contract and have history on the show getting nothing at all (The Qs, Mac Scorpio, Bobbie Spencer, Elizabeth Webber.....to start with). These two are getting a father yet we don't get to learn about Elizabeth's mother & there has been nary a mention of Sam being curious about who her father is (one of those half dozen stories they coulda given Sam & Lucky I mentioned...searching for daddy...See Sam fans, I'm looking out for ya! LOL)...yet two guys who are basically either background or comic relief get a father. The priorities of TPTB on this show truly suck, I must say.

Anyhow, that's my rant for the moment for what its worth...LOL

I've been reading thru the posts and I read alot of the same thing in each thread, always gets down to how Guza is killing GH.

what I don't get is fans everywhere complain about the show having too much mob, why don't they change it?? I mean really! Are they that friggin stupid? and I know this isn't mob but who cares about some stupid magazine that a non character is starting? All I ever hear is lets get back to the hospital and every few years they throw us a bone and say yep were going back to it. and they do for about ten seconds then right back .
at least in the old days adventure was a part of the show. it was ok if there was a little mob thrown in but we had good villains like the Cassidines and Faison. not this choke us down with the mob. and its not even exciting! they all sit behind their desks barking orders and threats! at least get up off your asses and do something! lol.Come on ! Stop killing everyone and lets really get back to the roots. Take a gander over at Y&R if you don't know what to do Guza, stop killing GH!

But I do agree...we need to do a campaign that doesn't specifically single out one or two characters...we need a general SAVE General HOSPITAL campaign...where we send in EVERYTHING...letters, postcards, emails, phone calls.

Cuz like it's been a couple of months now and we've had NOBODY in the hospital...and the drug s/l ain't even at the hospital ...it's at the Free Clinic that we hardly ever see any action in.

now because even they have no REAL s/l...nothing that makes you REALLY want to watch them...

Claudia should be trying to neutralize Sonny and Jason every chance she gets. Not necessarily by violence but in other ways...yet she is painted as this sad victim.

Bring Helena back...she was more fun to watch.

Yes...While I was happy to have TWO days of Monica...I felt they did her homecoming a diservice. And the next scene was pure prop...HOWEVER I DO want more JaMoni moments so I won't complain too much there.

But I don't want them pulling my Qs out of the box they stuff them in just to have them in one measly little scene...I need my Qs on a regular...why can't TIIC include them in a s/l???

That's what I miss about the Golden Age of GH...a s/l might begin as a small one for one or two characters...but over the course it will fan out into something bigger that includes almost half the town.

The BEST example of this is the Susan Moore murder...it started out as a Q story...but by the time the murder was solved...almost half the town was involved one way or another.

They COULD have...and SHOULD have done this with Michael's shooting...esp with the aftermath. They held back on the SEXIS end of that storyline....and it COULD have been the catalyst for Sonny and Alexis discussing their relationship...it COULD have led to a very interesting QUAD that would most certainly have taken the audience by surprise and probably risen the ratings.

Also it would have involved the Qs...Michael's REAL family.

So are we just gonna sit around and RANT..or are we gonna start standing up and try to really SAVE our show?

thats what I was thinking, we, as the fans, need to make it clear to TPTB we want a real chiange and go back to the roots of gh and get away from the mob. So what do we do? where to we write?

Ok, I am already sick of ZombieLogan. This is pitiful. Poor Josh Duhon. The guy is actually a reaaly good actor & this is what he's been reduced to. At least GhostAlan got to be funny.
