I will lap them up like mother's milk _________________ Banner by the lovely LexCorinthos (\__/) (='.'=) (")_(") ****.-"'''''-.**** ^^ That one's mine^^ |

All of my videos were made with Windows Movie Maker, except for the last one because I finally broke down and bought the much better Sony Vegas Movie Studio. For the most part, I just jumped in and played with it, but I've always been a quick learner when it comes to computer programs. Yes you do have to find clips out there and I have specific sites that I go to for specific clips/couples - Beyond Reason for Scrubs, Dominoes & Tequila for JaSam, and HellaGood for entire shows. The quality of the clips vary greatly, but it's all a learning process. I learned a lot of great tips from a GH vidders board - http://z9.invisionfree.com/GH_MVids_Unlimited/index.php?act=idx. One of the big problems with Windows Movie Maker is that it crashes when you have a lot a clips loaded into it or a lot of other programs running, so you have to be organized, keep the clips down to a minimum, & SAVE OFTEN!!!! I can't stress that enough because there is NOTHING more devastating than to lose hours and hours of work! My first video was the Heaven Forbid one and it took me about 11 hours to make, but I was HIGHLY MOTIVATED and I had been thinking about it for weeks ahead of time, so I had the whole thing storyboarded out in my head, which made things a lot easier, although I didn't realize that until my 2nd or 3rd video. When I watch that video now, almost 2 years after I made it, I see so many things that could have been done better and I have to fight the urge to 'fix" it, but then again, it's one of my most popular ones, so I just leave it alone. I also learned a lot from watching other people's videos. If you have specific questions, I can try to answer them, but I'm not that good with tutorials and there are probably much better ones on youtube and other sites anyways. If you want specific sites for clips, I can help you there too. Once you have the clips, my suggestion is just start playing around with it and see what happens. |
