Sorry I dissappeared this summer. Originally I thought being off for the summer would mean more computer time for mom, lol, but it has turned into never being home! LOL Not that I don't enjoy taking my kids places, but I feel like I am barely here.

Also, I left my current position/school as of June 19th in expectation of a new position/school to begin "at some point in the fall." The school I work for is opening a second location and it's in my town so I asked for a transfer. I was able to work out that they replaced me and so I would be staying home till the new school opened, which at the moment is the last week of Oct/1st week of Nov.

Within one month of my vacation, 5 staff members quit (of varying positions.) I was contacted by the school to come back to work in the position I want for the new school, the math teacher, until the new school opened. Once they guaranteed me that I would still be moving to the new location and they would actively serach for a replacement (meaning harder than they were doing) I agreed to come back. I had to go in to train with the teacher leaving for a couple weeks, and now they are able to fill in these last 3 weeks of summer camp with college girls, but it looks like I will be returning to work fulltime Sept 4th - yes, the Firday of labor day weekend - we have inservice that day. I get to spend the next 3 weeks lesson planning and going thru mounds of stuff the other teacher left behind, as well as creating the supply list for the math room in the new school. I have the kindergarteners in my homeroom, which also means tons of extra planning I just did not want to do.

I'm home today since my kids both have birthdays this month and we've got a large family/friends gathering here tomorrow, I'm supposed to be cleaning but I just am not in the mood. My summer has blown by me and I'm a bit frustrated...I feel like half of it has been taken from me. Now I'm stuck with all this work I didn't want in the first place.

So, with regret I must say that I will probably not be around much anymore. Not only will I be returning to work much sooner than planned, I need to extend my hours because of the kindergarten class. My own kids have a life and I want to be part of that, so my goal is to only turn on the computer for work-related research and that is it. I am stil going to be home by 3 to watch GH, lol for the next 3 weeks anyway. Oh, and we're on vacation next week. If I work really hard today getting ready for the party I can lesson plan all day Sunday...ugh.

Anyway, I hope to pop in now and then to say hi, GH looks like it's starting to get good...and I am excited!!

Hey everyone! I cna't believe my post is still up high enough for me to find it!

It's been a really crazy two months...between all the work at work, a good friend of mine and her son were killed in a car crash, I had to put my at to sleep and have a very sick cousin who I do not expect to pull thru. There has been a lot of sadness around out lives that I feel like I have had no time for anything.

The demands they put on us at my school are bordering ridiculous at the moment, and I am contemplating leaving the school if they do not get better. Going to try to make it thru the holidays to help with bills, then we'll see what happens in January.

I am happy I got an inactive account message this morning, as it forced me to take some time for myself for a few minutes.

Hope everyone is doing well and I personally am looking forward to Nov sweeps this year.
