Like Tracy said to Luke, The Qs are good at blackmail but also at showing support for one another.
Even though there will ALWAYS be a rivalry between Monica and tracy...Tracy has come to accept that Monica IS every bit a Q like she *and in some instances even more a Q*...and she will stand by her in the face of outside situations....even if amongst themselves they fight like cats and dogs.
They are in essence the daytime version of the Ewings...
as Miss Ellie once said in a CLASSIC scene on Dallas...
"We may be right, and we may be wrong, but we're Ewings, and we stick together. And THAT'S what makes us unbeatable."

Lila was the heart of the Qs...and once Steve died I would even say she became the sole heart of Port Charles.
She had a special, personal relationship with just about everyone in the town...
And in the case of her much dysfunctional...but so adorable family, Lila had a very special bond with EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM.
I always loved how she bonded with the likes of Jimmy Lee, Justus, Emily, Skye, Carly, Felicia, etc...and ESPECIALLY, Monica.
Monica came into the family like the wind, yet, Lila always saw the good sides of her *as she did with Tracy*...and she and Monica often were like real mother and daughter....some of their scenes are just classic...
Remember the two of them in the hats?
And I don't know why it is...but that scene of them on the stairs will always make me think of just how special their relationship was...and it mirrors the one Monica had with Emily *as they too were often seen talking on the stairs.*
But that was Lila...she always had an ear for her people, and words of wisdom to share, and a loving touch and tone for them all.
To paraphrase what Tracy said at Lila's funeral, she gave them all a reason to strive to be better.

I wasn't watching during this time *ISIS was VERY frustrated with GH in 2004...that is until Krissy got sick**...However I DID watch during this particular time because of Lila.
VERy good commentaries from all of the Qs...and friends.
Notice in part two, Monica does not go up to speak as the rest of the family does...*Leslie and Anna were VERY close...I think it would have been hard for Leslie to do that...and also Monica and Lila being very close...it was like her losing a mother *being the orphan she was*

Thanks for sharing. I love the Quartermaines. They are such a huge part of GH. Its so sad that TPTB are dropping them off one by one like flys. This family is one of the hearts of GH. TPTB have made this show into something I dont reconize anymore. It just makes me sad
