Title: Little Girl Lost
Author:AlexisDavisFanFirst
Alexis carried her sleeping child into the house and carried her up the stairs. She tucked her daughter into her own bed for now. Alexis knew that she wouldn't want to sleep without her daughter closeby. She smiled down at her daughter & stroked her hair softly. They'd been separated for a long time...too long. The little girl sighed as she stirred in her sleep. Alexis kissed her forehead and thought about the past few weeks for them. It was a lot for a five year old to have to deal with but her daughter seemed to be adjusting ok. She was a very strong & smart little girl. That's why thinking back on all that had happened broke Alexis' heart so very much.
The day started out like any other day that morning. She went to wake her daughter, planning to spend the day with her. When she got to the bedroom, though, she found the bed empty. First panicked then furious, Alexis knew exactly what had happened...where her daughter was. She stormed out of the room, out of the house and headed directly for the yacht. She shoved past Andreas and went into the parlor to find Helena having her morning tea.
"Where is she? What did you do with her?", Alexis demanded angrily.
"Ah, little mouse. Trying to roar this morning, I see?", Helena said with a laugh.
"I'm not playing games here. What did you do with my daughter?", Alexis demanded again.
"Oh perhaps the little wretch obtained some intelligence and realized that life with you was a waste of time.", Helena taunted. Her plan was completed but she wanted to have fun with it. "If you must know, I decided to give her a life with someone relevant. Someone who can make a difference for her in a positive way"
"You bitch!", Alexis shouted and lunged at Helena, only to be restrained by Andreas as Helena laughed at her.
"She is long gone and she is lucky for it, my dear. Now, you have wasted enough of my morning. Leave now or I will have Andreas toss you overboard. Believe me, I'm doing you a favor by not making him do so. I love to be amused that way", Helena said, an amused glint in her eyes.
Alexis pulled away from Andreas' grasp as she glared daggers at Helena. "You will pay for this, you treacherous bitch, mark my words", she vowed before storming off the yacht.
The next several weeks were hell for Alexis. She had to find her daughter and fast before the trail ran too cold. She enlisted in her best friend Jasper Jacks. He was only too happy to help, using every resource he had to help Alexis find her daughter. As the days and weeks passed, Alexis became more and more fearful that she had lost her baby girl forever. She stopped eating and sleeping, dedicating every moment to finding her little girl. When she had exhausted herself, she would cry at night, praying that her daughter was ok and that she knew Alexis loved her. She wanted her daughter to somehow know that Alexis was going to come for her, that she hadn't been abandoned. Alexis had started to wonder what more she could do in her search for her daughter. She was starting to wonder if she needed to accept that her little girl was gone forever. Then the amazing happened.
Jax showed up one day at Alexis' house. She answered the door to find him smiling broadly. For the first time in weeks, she had hope. Her heart began to race.
"Jax, did you find her?", she asked anxiously.
"Indeed I have. We can leave whenever you're ready to go and get her", Jax told her.
"I'm ready now", she said anxiously as she grabbed her purse, softly pushed Jax out of the house in his chest, then practically ran to his car.
Jax had the jet ready and waiting, knowing that Alexis woudln't want to waste any time. Alexis practically ran onto the jet when they got to the airfield. Jax smiled as he watched her, noticing this was the first time she'd been happy in weeks. He instructed his pilot where to go and they were off. A few short hours later, they were in Atlanta getting into a car Jax had waiting for them. He gave the driver the address and they were on their way to get Alexis' daughter.
"Do you think she is upset with me? That she believes I abandoned her? Jax, I honestly don't know if I could stand it if she thought that", Alexis said, looking at him desperately.
"No, no...not at all, I can assure you of that. She loves you and know you love her and would never give up on her. That much I can tell you for a fact", he said as he stroked the back of her hair.
"Thank you, Jax. I really needed to hear that", Alexis said & rested her head on his broad shoulder.
Half an hour later, they pulled into a driveway. After knocking on the door, they saw it open and looked down to see Alexis daughter. It only took a moment for her to see her mother and Uncle Jax, then smile the most amazing smile they had ever seen.
"Mama!", she cried out and ran into Alexis' arms.
"My baby....baby girl", Alexis said and held her daughter in the tightest hug she could as she started crying in happiness and relief.
"Mommy, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Aren't you happy to see me?" she asked.
"Nothing, not a thing, sweetheart. I'm just so happy to see you. We're going to go home & I'm never going to let anyone take you away from me again", Alexis promised.
"Good. I hated being away from you. I missed you", her daughter said and hugged her again.
Alexis vaguely heard the people her daughter was staying with protesting and threatening legal action while Jax expertly deflected by telling them that he and Alexis had more money and resources to fight them off, then suggested that they find another child but through legal means instead of through the black market. That worked as the couple backed off.
Alexis looked down at her sleeping child. She and Jax were able to place enough threats at Helena's feet that she backed off. They both knew it was temporary but it was enough for now. Alexis again stroked her daughter's hair as she slept peacefully. After all they have gone through they were finally home and for the first time at peace. Alexis leaned over and softly kissed her daughter's cheek, smiling down at her.
"Sleep well, my darling Samantha. Tomorrow we start our life together fresh and I promise you a good life from now on", she whispered, knowing she would spend he life making sure that she kept that promise as best as she could.
