Hey everyone! I thought i'd write a Sam and Lucky story since they are becoming one of my fav couples on GH. This starts when Lucky saves Sam from falling on the bridge.

Disclaimer: I don't own General Hospital or any of it's characters.

Chapter 1

As if in slow motion the car slid off the bridge and plunged into the icy river. Jason screamed Sam's name and fell backward. He now lay on the cold ground, silent and still.

Liz held Lucky in her arms and nervously looked over at Jason. Concern written all over her face. Concern that Lucky knew she no longer felt for him.

Lucky now realized how much things had changed. He knew Liz love Jason in a way she would never Lucky again. At that moment he knew Jason needed Liz and told her to go.

Liz's love fro Jason had really hurt Lucky at first because he wanted to still be the love of Liz's life but now he realized he didn't want that kind of love from Liz anymore. He wanted it from someone else. Someone he had fallen completley in love with. He hadn't meant to but he did.

Lucky eyes drifted over the spot where the car used to be and realized he might be to late and he might never get the love he wanted from Sam.

Suddenly Lucky heard a scream. Quickly Lucky made his way over to the edge. He could feel the blood from his injured shoulder trickling down his arm but he didn't care. He needed to get to Sam. He wasn't gonna lose her without a fight.

His eyes suddenly came upon Sam. He was hanging on to the bottom of the rail. Complete terror in her eyes. He grabber her left hand and then the right.
"Don't let me go!" Sam screamed.
Their eyes locked and Lucky spoke,"Sam I'm never gonna let you go again.!"
Lucky was in complete agony...He shoulder was still bleeding and it hurt like hell as he pulled Sam up but the feelings he had for Sam over powered the pain. Slowly he pulled her up....feeling stronger than he ever had before. Their eyes remained locked and they both new that Lucky would save Sam or die trying.

He was finally able to pull Sam to saftey, as she came over the rail she found herself in Lucky's arms. He puller her tightly into his arms as he lowered himself and her to the ground. Sam was still in shock, she was shaking, and Lucky just pulled her closer telling her it was gonna be ok.

Finally Sam found her voice again, " You saved my life. I could have gone over the edge!" The impact of what she had just experienced hitting her. Tears began to form in her eyes and she burried her face in his left shoulder. The fimilair smell of shampoo and aftershave calming her down.

Lucky said nothing! He pulled her cloers and kissed her forhead. So thankful that he had been given a second chance and this time he wasn't gonna let anyone or anything mess it up!

Lucky rocked Sam back and forth. He needed her in his arms.

"You saved me, you could have gone over the edge too." Sam eyes began to fill with tears.

"Shhh, it's ok I've got you!" Lucky stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head.

Sam wished that they could stay in this moment forever! All she wanted to do was be with Lucky and forget all of the anger, hurt, and pain. She had finally figured out what she wanted and now she was afraid she had lost it.

They both heard the sirens again and they knew they could be here in a matter of seconds. Sam pulled herself up and helped Lucky up as well. She still clung to him afraid to let go. Lucky just held her in his arms and told her everyone was going to be all right and for the first time in a long time Sam believed him.
