BROOKE AND RIDGE SPLIT!

After his near-fatal fall at Forrester Creations, Rick finds out that he is paralyzed. "He starts feeling sorry for himself, which is totally understandable, and of course, Brooke is devastated for him," explains Katherine Kelly Lang.

Ridge is also present during this revelation and is overwhelmed with guilt but Rick doesn't care. "He gets really upset and tells Ridge to leave the room," sighs Lang. "Rick warns that putting him in a wheelchair is not going to keep him from protecting Brooke."

A doctor orders everyone to clear out in order for Rick to calm down, so Brooke has a heart-to-heart with Ridge. "She was initially mad at Ridge, but it's more like, 'How could you let this happen?'" says Lang. "She doesn't believe that Ridge intentionally pushed her son over that balcony. Brooke is more upset that Ridge let it go as far as it did, especially after what happened between them in Australia, when Ridge hit Rick. It doesn't take Ridge very long to convince her that he didn't hurt Rick on purpose. Now she just wants to keep the peace between these two guys."

Luckily, Bridget bears some good news. "She says there are no spinal injuries or breaks according to the X-rays," smiles Lang. "There only seems to be swelling around the spinal column, so Rick's paralysis should only be temporary. But there's no telling exactly when he'll walk again. It will just take time."

Brooke checks on Rick, who isn't uplifted by the latest prognosis. "He's focusing on the fact that he can't feel anything in his legs," says Lang. "Brooke decides she wants to take Rick back to her house after he's released from the hospital so he can recuperate there. She's feeling very guilty because she knows she wasn't there for him enough when he was growing up. So Rick starts playing on that guilt; he tells Brooke that he's not coming home with her while Ridge is still living in the house."

Brooke is shocked by the ultimatum, but, "She knows that Rick's hatred for Ridge is very real," notes Lang. "She has to deal with that, but in time. She asks Ridge to move out of the house, for Rick's sake. Ridge agrees to it because he loves Brooke, but it only makes him more angry toward Rick."

Brooke's concession has an impact on Rick, but not the way she hoped. "He notices how much control he does have in the whole situation and he starts using that to his benefit," says the actress. "Things are about to get worse."

October 29 - Taylor makes it clear to Brooke she's got a serious fight on her hands.

Donna thinks Pam's condition is all an act and refuses to let her get away with it, but Ann and Stephanie make an impassioned plea.


NOVEMBER PREVIEWS

"Wonderful wedding plans end in tragedy," previews Bradley Bell.

Brooke/Ridge/Taylor - "Having realized the depth of her love for Ridge, Taylor can't help but feel heartbroken as he remains committed to Brooke." However, Phoebe's return buoys Taylor as she now has all of her children at her side, which moves Ridge to see his family reunited. Will fate and history intervene to bring these two back together again?

Ridge/Brooke/Rick - Brooke is caught in the middle between her son and the man she loves as Rick's antipathy towards Ridge reaches new heights. "Rick hatches his most extreme plan yet to come between Brooke and Ridge. "Another challenge comes when Eric makes a decision that may alter the future of Forrester Creations with a change in leadership that further fuels the fire between Ridge and Rick.

Katie/Nick - This couple looks forward to a future together. "Katie finds herself enraptured by baby Jack and desperately wanting to be a mother to Nick's child."

Thorne/Donna/Owen - "A determined Thorne takes unprecedented action to bring Stephanie and Eric back together. but will his devious plan to expose Donna and Owen backfire?"

Having been brought together by fate, Brooke and Ridge vow to never part again.

Brooke's announcement that Ridge is moving back in leads Rick to come up with a new plan.

However, things don't work the way he hoped, leaving Rick with a hunger for revenge.

Not everyone is pleased with the way Rick's newfound power has gone to his head.

Eric asks Ridge to return to Forrester Creations but doesn't get the reaction he expected.

Assisted by Thorne, Eric rehires Owen in order to test Donna's loyalty, hoping that she passes.

Already upset when Eric assigns her to work on Owen's project, Donna is shown by Owen what she's missing not being with him.

Coming: Rick's emotions lead him to act rashly.

UPDATED 18.11.2008: Apparently, Marcus and Steffie do not split up, he receives a promotion and heads to Paris, possibly due to Thorne.

Phoebe’s death will air in early December. Rick plays a part in her demise, and there are rumors that it could be a car crash. The repercussions will include an end to Brooke and Ridge’s wedding plans. Following the religious/spiritual overtones of Katie’s heart transplant (and her Storm-the-seamonster “vision”) the tragedy is said hark back to Darla’s death in some way. Maybe Taylor will be put through the wringer remembering her involvement in the accidental death?

Eric re-hires Owen at Forrester and makes sure he works closely with Donna. Owen tries to woo Donna; failing at that, he attempts to make her jealous. With Eric ready to stop divorce proceedings, Thorne steps in with proof of Donna’s supposed betrayal. Rumor is that Thorne’s scheme involves a bubble bath and a surveillance camera.

Katie and Stephanie go head-to-head. They’re set to have a difference of opinion over Donna, but will Stephanie also push for a Brooke/Nick reunion?

Marcus and Steffie are headed for Splitsville. Steffie gets Rick to admit his true motives and they bond, but Rick is disappointed that it’s only a friendship.

Ashley lets Eric know her intentions (i.e. “I’m sticking with The Moustache in Genoa City”).

One of my faves, Ashley Jones (Bridget), has renewed her contract and there are plans for a new romance down the line. Given the limited options, it’s likely to be Owen.

Rumors are swirling regarding the couples on B&B. Apparently, Brad Bell has now decided between Brooke/Ridge and Taylor/Ridge. One key player is said to be fuming. A spring 2009 Taylor/Ridge wedding was one rumored possibility, with a Katie/Nick/Brooke triangle playing out at the same time. My guess? Katherine Kelly Lang has already expressed her annoyance at Brooke’s waffling and she didn’t sound enthused that Brooke could be paired with her daughter’s ex-husband (Nick) yet again.

While I think that KKL and Jack Wagner are smoking hot together, I can’t overlook Bridget and how that character is constantly walked over. It’s obscene. Having said that, the Brooke/Ridge pairing makes me vomit the most. I can only find that jackass bearable when he’s with Taylor. I think Brooke needs some time away from both Nick and Ridge, and Nick needs some major redeeming (how many Logans has he impregnated now?). Then maybe when Bridget’s moved on, Brooke/Nick will seem palatable. Well, that’s my opinion. What’s yours?

Stephanie wants Phoebe’s “killer” punished. Rick shows up at Phoebe’s memorial service and things get heated between him, Stephanie and Ridge.

Taylor turns to Ridge for support.

Ridge makes a decision about Rick and Brooke supports him. Brooke makes a request of Rick.

After overhearing Thorne being blackmailed for more money by the model hired to play “Donna”, Owen figures out Thorne’s look-alike scheme. He goes to spill the beans to Eric.

Donna prepares to leave LA, but a reunion with horny bear Eric is on the cards. Damn! She then encourages him to spend Christmas with his family, including Stephanie.

Bridget provides Steffy with information that confirms Rick’s story. Maybe she googled it, like she she did Katie’s heart rejection. Why couldn’t she have had computer trouble that day?

Stephanie and Eric argue about Rick. This causes Eric to tell Stephanie the truth about Thorne’s idiotic scheming.

Stephanie demands to know if Eric is leaving her. The bigger question is, why does she want the old fool?

Rick visits the crash site and has an unexpected encounter with Taylor. She’ll forgive him.

Ridge asks Taylor to spend Christmas with the Forresters.

Early next year, Ridge and Brooke make vows to each other on the Malibu beach where they previously married. There won’t be a minister or guests, but there will be a huge heart drawn in the sand with “Brooke & Ridge” written in it. Viewers with weak stomachs are advised to tune out on January 5th.

Nick has a surprising gift for Katie. Hopefully it’s a one-way ticket to Genoa City, where her real identity (Victoria Newman) can be revealed.

Finally, a sexy, young adult couple who isn't related on The Bold and the Beautiful! Soap Opera Weekly reveals in their latest issue that smoking hot couple-in-training Bridget and Owen (Ashley Jones and Brandon Beemer) aka "Browen" will kiss next week on the CBS sudser. Here's what the B&B and True Blood beauty tells the mag about the buss:

She's in this transformative stage in her life and really, what has she got to lose?"

I'm sure there are plenty of people who wouldn't mind being "transformed" by a kiss from Beemer. With Stephanie (Susan Flannery) back on the warpath, and a hot new couple to root for, B&B just might make our Mike stop swearing during the CBS/Days podcast. If not, Uncle Luke might have to wash his mouth out with Vodka. Oh wait, that's what I do before each podcast. Carry on!

Coming up are some interesting times for Rick – hopefully, more interesting than the interminable uncle/niece love affair. He’ll be putting Ridge in a difficult position in exchange for keeping quiet about Thomas. He’ll be receiving an insincere apology from Thomas when Rick decides not to go to the police. He’ll also be giving Steffy an engagement ring, which will rub Ridgiculous up the wrong way, but Brooke will be happy for the twosome.

Stephanie will be distraught when Donna unknowingly creates a ruckus between her and Eric. They’re going to be arguing over Rick and Steffy, which will lead to Eric throwing Stephanie out of Forrester Creations. She’ll reminisce about her newlywed days with Eric, and receive unexpected advice from Nick. I wish she’d just rip Eric or Donna a new one. That dumbass skank Donna is no match for the Stephmonster.
Owen is going to be moving over to Jackie M. He’ll also be sharing a kiss with Bridget. Rumor is, he may have flirtations (or more) with Jackie in the future. Sounds like he could be heading for a “pretend” romance with Wacky Jackie.

Jackie and Owen are both going to be moving. Could they end up together? I doubt it, but you never know with this soap. Personally, I would love to see Owen’s character fleshed out a bit more, and for Bridget to properly connect (and boink) with him. But, are the writers capable? I’m not sure, and that ticks me off, because I think there is a lot of wasted potential on this show. Opportunities are being missed every episode – instead, we get the same recycled crap, week in, week out. Would a tiny bit of exposition about Bridget and Owen’s relationship do us any harm? Apparently, it would, because all we get is Sick (AKA Steffy and Rick) 24/7. Hell, I am sick to my stomach watching that junk. (Sorry about the rant if you were just looking for spoilers!)
As well as kissing Owen, Bridget is going to be surprised at Eric’s response to her new designing job over at Jackie M.

Nick and Jackie research the history of Forrester Creations to try and get the upper hand.
Another rumor is that Stephanie and Jackie will spend more time in scenes together. I hope this is true – Susan Flannery and Lesley Anne Down can knock it out of the park on a daily basis, unlike some of the other “performers” on this show.

Rick, Steffy, Bridget and Thomas are the ones RUMORED to be taking the show forward as the younger generation. To be honest, the Tridge kids are not impressing me with their acting chops, but hey – it’s all subjective. I do think Kyle Lowder is doing great with the crappy scripts he gets. I love Ashley Jones too, but she’s not been on much – hopefully once her stint on True Blood comes to an end then we’ll see more of Budge.

In addition to Joanna Johnson’s upcoming two-day appearance (April 28/29), rumor is she could possibly return for a longer stint in July.
