Here’s the Scoop! 06.10.09


Medical Malpractice… Diane tells Matt, Patrick and Robin that the family of the Mayor’s mistress, Brianna Hughes, is suing mad. Is Patrick named in the lawsuit as well? The RUMORS say yes. Is Diane the Hughes Family attorney? I guess with all the mob activity at a standstill, she needs to work. Alexis tries to get her BFF to drop the case at the Mayor’s request. Diane wants to know why Alexis would listen to the Mayor. Will Patrick slip up and give Diane some information she needs for her lawsuit?

Drunken Matt… Remember the RUMORS that Lucky would be falling off the wagon and turning to the bottle? COULD it be that those RUMORS got mixed up with Matt’s story? They wouldn’t do two chemical dependency stories at the same time would they? RUMOR has it Matt uses alcohol to numb the pain of his medical mishap. Will he hit on Maxie in a drunken stupor? Will he start a fight with Spinelli?

How does the Mayor’s wife fit in to all of this? She wants this to be as scandal –less as possible. She suggests to Patrick that they should settle the malpractice suit out of court. But at what cost to Patrick or Matt would that be?

Another hit gone wrong? Well whenever Claudia is the one ordering the hit you know odds are something will go bust. Remember I mentioned last week that Jason is Claudia’s next intended target. She needs that thorn in her side gone. The hit is ordered and set to take place during a mob meeting. Too bad for Claudia, Sonny sends Johnny with Jason. Will Johnny get caught in the crossfire? Will Sonny be the one to save Jason? I always thought Johnny and Jason would be a great working duo.

How much will Michael remember? Are Claudia’s days numbered? Will Michael remember her bedside confessions and use that information to his advantage?

Ric Lansing… Usually up to nothing good and with his time dwindling down what’s Ric’s story. Is the baby his? Will he make a mistake? Can Ric ever one up Sonny? Ronnie Marmo has been cast on GH but no word on who he’s playing. He cannot be Dante, too old IMO but COULD he be a recast of Ric? Unless the paternity is revealed before he exits, I can’t see this story working without Ric. Yes, I would prefer Hearst in the role but that ship has sailed. Could Marmo be the new Ric? THIS is MY SPECULATION… but discuss away… NOW, Hearst himself says the door was left open for a Ric return.

CRAZY and RANDOM RUMORS… Will Morgan be injured? I thought Sam was Spinelli’s PI partner? Why is Maxie the one working on a case with him? Is Sam on the case of the Mayor and his mistress? Is more death coming to Port Charles? Who will NotEmily be with in the end? The conman or the prince? Is Sonny falling for his wife? How long can Jax keep his secret? Dare I say it… more airtime for the Q’s? Is there going to be more to this NotEmily – Jason stuff? Will we ever learn who fathered Sam McCall? Someone MAY be interested in that one. Will Alexis get a little love in the afternoon? If she does, can he not be a mobster or a sociopath?

Here’s the Scoop! 06.12.09

Last week’s Q&A was a lot of Q’s and no A’s…. what can I say, life gets in the way! We’ll try it again and maybe some of you will see some of Q’s from last week pop up today…

Fight Club…at Jake’s? Matt’s RUMORED to go after Spinelli in a drunken mess and Michael gets into it with a pal of Kristina’s. Again I must ask, what’s with the teens hanging out at Jake’s? Kelly’s isn’t good enough for them? Michael gets knocked out. That can’t be good for a kid who just had brain surgery.

Druggie… Didn’t we have a teen drug storyline back in the day? Remember when Emily thought she could fly off the Q mansion roof? RUMOR has it Kristina dabbles with a little maryjane and is caught with a joint. Now, Alexis smoked the dope to ease her chemo side effects so no claims of like mother like daughter.

Q: Regan, can you tell us who is the main story in the Ethan/Rebecca/Nik disaster? Is the ultimate goal to get fans to like Ethan/Rebecca or a Nik/Rebecca pairing?

Disaster is putting it mildly IMHO. I’m not really sure where our focus is supposed to be. On one side there’s Rebecca who is Emily’s twin that feels she got shafted. Then there’s Ethan who was just coming to PC to learn at the feet of the master (or so we were SUPPOSED to believe) who winds up with insta-family. Its classic GH, they bring in these characters that SHOULD have some edge to them and then mid-story when the fans aren’t happy they try to redeem the character. So Ethan struggles with his devotion to Rebecca and the con while Rebecca struggles with how nice the Q’s are and her “feelings” for Nikolas. My advice: instead of redeeming the characters, redeem the story with some better writing. RUMOR has it Nikolas will come to the decision to walk away from the whole mess until a meeting with Monica changes his mind.

I’ve mentioned Claudia’s hit on Jason and we all know a hit ordered by Claudia usually means disaster. Is Johnny getting caught in Claudia’s cross-fire? It would SEEM so but the LATEST is that Johnny is the key to Jason’s survival as the two fight to make it out.

The Mayor, the mistress and the mess… Sam is on the hunt to prove the Mayor is an unfaithful louse. Will she be the one to uncover an affair between the Mayor and her own mother? Mayor Floyd wants Alexis to help get the medical malpractice lawsuit over with ASAP so that no attention comes to his part in Brianne’s death. Matt’s the main man in the malpractice lawsuit but Patrick winds up at the defense table with his bro as he will also be sued. Diane is one smart cookie and wants to know why in the world Alexis is doing the Mayor’s bidding.

Q: A Liason confrontation? Hmmm? That has a negative sound. But, that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be bad, does it?

I’m not so sure this is going to go down as scandalous as it sounds, IF it goes down at all. We will have to see what happens as there SEEMS to be far too much FANFIC out there. Will Jason get a moment with Jake? That’s out there.

Will Robin and Patrick be better PI’s than Jackal and McCall? They’ll return to the scene of the accident to investigate the mistress’s untimely demise. Spinelli and Maxie get in on it too as they are caught snooping in the Mayor’s office by Mac. Spinelli did something very similar a few months back when he snuck into Rayner’s office and Alexis covered for him. Yes writers, I remember. Let’s get a little more original please.

RANDOM and CRAZY RUMORS… Robin has a warning for Maxie. Claudia sides with Carly? Jason thinks Sam and Kristina need a little sisterly time. Jax comes home to see Michael go off on Carly. Jason tries to defend Sam and assaults a police officer. Where’s Morgan? Carly and Michael search for him. CRAZIEST... are Ethan and Rebecca husband and wife?

JOlivia… more to come? That’s the RUMOR! I actually like them together. Does this pairing have the legs to go the distance? Surely Dante’s arrival will throw a wrench at the “mechanic.” Weigh in!

What’s the Mayor going public with? It’s SPOILED to be “startling.” Will he out his affair with the DA? Do we really care about this story except for it including Martha Byrne (Andrea Floyd)? What exactly do Ric and Andrea have cooking?

Was Rick Hearst given a proper send off? RUMOR has it there wasn’t enough time. But there was enough time for a little Hearst –Byrne interaction. What’s the deal? One RUMOR says Ric wanted the DA job back and was using Andrea to get it. Maybe “using” isn’t the right word. The SCOOP says Andrea is the one to tell Ric about Alexis and Mayor Floyd’s indiscretion. Was Ric planning on using that information to get his old job back? Really Ric? You’re no angel; in fact, you slept with your wife’s daughter around the same time.

Alexis… finally a story for Alexis Davis. Finally! It’s been much too long and the last few stories she got were lack luster in my opinion. RUMORS say this is a storyline her fans can and will get behind.

Back to the Mayor… whether we should care or not, we’re already in the middle of it all. The mistress is dead and it seems that before the death certificate was even signed the family retained counsel and filed a malpractice suit. Was this really the way to go? Are we not invested enough in the Mayor or his mistress to give a damn? Yes, Scrubs, Matt and Alexis are involved as well as the above mentioned Martha Byrne but really was this the smart way to go? I COULD have gotten behind it if we had seen more of the Mayor in the past few weeks/month. A few throw away scenes to remind us of his existence would have helped since now we’re supposed to be invested in his extra-marital affairs. But silly me, that would have required a little more balance and while Drew Garrett has been a welcome addition, it’s been the Michael show and nothing else.





Is this going to be a who killed the Mayor’s mistress storyline? Huh? Brianna Hughes died on Matt’s operating table, right? Yes, but as the doc’s said her injuries don’t match a slip and bump in the shower. COULD it be that someone entered the room while the Mayor was getting his lover some aspirin? Could that person have added to Ms. Hughes injuries thus causing her death?

Speaking of the Michael show… Sonny’s sperm produces some great kids! I know, I know, Michael has a traumatic brain injury and Kristina is your classic ignored and acting out teenager. Boo Hoo! Tread carefully Guza. While Garrett and Ainsworth are holding their own, the material better keep up. In the very recent past, characters we should sympathize with have most fans hating them (i.e. Robin’s PPD). I don’t want to hate Michael and his outbursts, I want to understand them. As far little Miss Kristina goes… Lexi Ainsworth is growing on me but again, tread carefully. I’m assuming I’m not supposed to hate the teen but understand that Daddy ignored her and Mommy pushes her too hard. So far all I see is a brat, a well acted brat, but a brat nonetheless.

COULD Sonny actually fall for his wife? Will it all fall out from under him when the truth comes out? Do we care anymore? I’ve been trying to stay positive about GH lately, really trying and apparently failing miserably at it. This story in particular irks me on so many levels. First, it makes Jason look stupid and second, I HATE ALL THESE SECRETS that aren’t really secrets. When more than 50% of Port Charles knows the truth, it’s no longer a secret.

Ethan, Rebecca, Helena… The only good part is Helena. I’m sorry but my vow of positivity cannot apply to this storyline. Everyone thinks Luke did his typical skip town bit except Tracy who thinks her hubby went off with his English rose. She’s even considering filing for divorce in his absence. Will Ethan talk her out of it? Will Lulu? No biggie, right? Luke always skips town when he’s been there for an extended amount of time. The Port Charles scenery must get boring. Anyways, Luke isn’t with Holly as RUMORS say Helena grabbed her nemesis. Luke gets bested by Helena? No way! Not my Luke Spencer… wait, this isn’t my Luke Spencer. Go ahead Helena, do your worst. As I’ve mentioned, Helena may not have been pulling Rebecca’s strings before but she wants to now and she’ll use Ethan to do it. When Helena shows Ethan proof that she’s got his daddy, he must convince Rebecca to go along with Helena’s plan.

CRAZY and RANDOM RUMORS… Hearst was dropped to recurring due to “budgetary” reasons yet we have a few newbies hitting the canvas. WORD on the street is that even more are headed our way in the shape of teens to befriend Michael and Kristina. Who’s Kate’s investor? Jax MAY have initially bankrolled the mag but someone else is helping Kate out. Did the Fashionista steal from her own stash and what will Jax have to say about it? Karaoke hospital? Who’s getting on the mic? Is Tracy hiring Sam to find Luke?

Here’s the Scoop! 06.16.09

I may be too depressed to write these today… my only hope for a resurgence of the Quartermaines just went back to Days of Our Lives. If you haven’t heard, Wally Kurth is reprising his role as Justin Kiraikis on the NBC soap. Now, I know he’s not the only Q in the family vault that GH COULD pull out but he’s the one I wanted back. What’s a GH fan to do, especially one who’s taken a vow of positivity when one of her faves signs on with another soap? How in the world do I stay positive after that one? Ned had so much potential and an offspring! On to the scoop… be warned, the vow of positivity may be taking a mini-vacay today (not like I was really sticking to it anyways).

Morgan… RUMORS of his distress. What’s the haps? Of course its mob related and MAY have something to do with that botched hit Claudia orders on Jason. COULD this Dominic character be the hired gun? Will he need an insurance policy when the hit goes bad? Is Morgan that insurance policy? I have a question for Mr. Guza – or any GH writer for that matter – are all kids part of mob violence in your world? Do all pregnancies have dire straits? And who exactly was forever scarred by law enforcement? Some of these answers MAY explain so much. Whatever their reasons, that's quite the welcome for nuMorgan. Throw him right into the middle of your mob mess!

What’s Dominic’s next move? Surely he’ll need Claudia to help him out, right? She was the one to hire him. Oh here we go again… another hit ordered by Claudia. Let’s see how long it takes Jason to figure this one out. Dominic MAY be injured, so not only does Claudia have to deal with yet another botched hit but the hired gun needs some medical attention.

Sex hospital… SHOULD we add Ethan and Rebecca to the ever growing list? Is this love in the afternoon or just soft porn?

More hospital storylines… Will the medical mystery surrounding the Mayor’s mistress be it? RUMORS suggest that an elderly patient hits the hospital halls and he/she MAY be looking for a little euthanasia. WOULD/COULD General Hospital tackle such a controversial storyline and do it justice? Remember, it’s just a RUMOR right now but IF penned properly this COULD be interesting. My advice if they’re really going this route, develop the patient a bit first, then go in for the kill. The Mayor’s mistress, she’s dead and I honestly don’t care. Yeah, I like the Mayor when he gets his thirty seconds but that’s not enough for me to care that his mistress is dead. Go back and watch Stacy’s story on NightShift Season One. The character was properly developed over a few episodes and the story after her death worked for me.

Alexis and Diane had a Girls Night Out… and it made me long for the GNO’s (the podcast and the one’s the GH ladies would have at Jake’s). RUMOR has it another GNO COULD be coming our way. My question, who would attend? Kelly Lee has been getting a few scenes thanks to being the only OB/GYN in town but where has Lainey been? They can’t break her out for a GNO, could they? So it would be who? Elizabeth, Robin and Kelly? Elizabeth is no fan of Rebecca’s so I don’t see her getting an invite. Would a GNO fall a little flat if it’s only a trio? On a side note: I loved the Jake's scenes yesterday!

CRAZY and RANDOM RUMORS… Is someone else knocked up? Kristina’s getting in over her head. Michael wants a mobtastic life, will he try his hand at something again? IF and when Dante arrives who will he set his sights on? Will brothers team up to save dear old dad? Why are teenagers hanging out in bars? Again, I ask, is Kelly’s not good enough for the spoiled Corinthos Crop? Nikolas dreams of Emily. Michael and Carly head out in search of a missing Morgan. What’s Andrea Floyd’s connection to Dominic? Your son is acting out so what do you do? Buy him a nice new shiny car! Sonny Corinthos should get father of the year. Will Mac arrest the Mayor for murder? What’s Michael’s next move?

Here’s the Scoop! 06.17.09


Alexis… Getting a teenage hellion is doing wonders for the character. But it’s her affair with the Mayor that’s making headlines. Is too much ever a bad thing? When a character like Alexis Davis has been essentially backburnered since her not so fantastic cancer storyline, I’ll take the overload with a big smile on my face. That Kristina has her mother snowed. Alexis feels Michael is a bad influence on his baby sis. Will Kristina only get worse when her mother’s affair with the Mayor is out in the open? What other information might Kristina learn from her mother’s public humiliation? Will Kristina be able to forgive her mother? Nope!

How is Morgan grabbed? Following in big brother’s footsteps. Morgan sneaks out of the house ala Michael and tries to pay a surprise visit to dad. Too bad the new baddie Dominic is also en route to Casa Corinthos. Michael and Carly team up to save Morgan. Carly tries to talk their way out of a sticky situation and Michael once again tries to duke it out with his brother’s captor. It doesn’t bode well for Michael who still doesn’t have his strength back after being laid up in a coma for a year. How does Kristina fit in? Remember, when the casting of Dominic was first announced, Kristina’s name was mentioned.

Taste of the mob life? Michael gets an even closer look at the life his father leads when he goes up against Dominic. Is this what has him wanting in? What happened to the days of kids dreaming of becoming doctors or pilots?

Is it Carly who sends Michael to live with the Quartermaines? Michael doesn’t want to live with his mom and Jax. Carly doesn’t want him living it up at mob central with Sonny and Claudia. Is the only other option the Quartermaine Mansion? Hey, anything that gets more Q Family drama on my screen is a good thing and with the camera focused on Michael roughly 85% of the time, I’d say the Q’s have a good shot of gracing our screens. Heck, this would be the perfect time to beef up the Quartermaines with some returns. Will Michael go quietly into the Q Mansion? He’s not thrilled but he apparently moves in and it’s not too bad of a set up. It’s his family so his interests are piqued but the Q’s are similar to Sonny, power and money just without the always present violence.

Fanfic? Pulling at a fan base’s heart strings? I mentioned that there MAY be a scene with Jason and Jake. The RUMORS say that Jason walks into Kelly’s and almost trips over his kid. He picks him up and hands him off to Elizabeth all while Lucky is watching.

Medical Mystery Storyline… Whose story is it? RUMORED to be more of Matt’s story is it really a Scrubs story? Will Matt play second fiddle to Robin and Patrick?

RANDOM and CRAZY RUMORS… Jax should stick to corporate raiding… remember those days? RUMOR has it he attempts to blackmail Claudia. Here’s a tip Jax, when half the town knows the truth, it might be a little difficult to pull off a successful blackmail. Does Olivia think Johnny’s in the dark about his sister? Ethan watches Rebecca and Nikolas. Speaking of… why is Rebecca in a white gown with Nikolas sporting a monkey suit? Are they trying to make us think she’s Cinderella? Is there a girl fight coming? Who’s catching Rebecca and Ethan doing the deed? Rebecca pays her sister a visit. Jax and Jason stuff coming up. Will they discuss Michael or Claudia? Is Tracy going after Ethan? She suspects there is something going on between Ethan and Emily’s “twin.” Will she catch them red handed? What else is coming up for Tracy? RUMORS that she has a few scenes with the first lady of PC. CRAZIEST RUMOR out there recently... Jax is getting a sister.





Lack of originality? Two newbies are set to appear on GH. Dominic Zamprogna who is playing "Dominic" and Ronnie Marmo who is playing "Ronnie." Can’t they even come up with character names for these new characters? They’re using the actor’s real names? Coincidence?

Going dark again… It looks like the GH set is going dark once again for two weeks in July. Usually three weeks ahead in filming, the GOSSIP mill says GH was four to five weeks ahead of schedule when they took a week off in May. Now the cast gets a two week summer vacay.

Steve's Contract... I get more questions about Steve Burton's contract. He had said his decision would be announced in June. Well it's June 17th and so far, no official announcement. Some say he's already signed on the dotted line. Others say he's still working on his deal. Trust me, when we know, you'll know.

Here's the Scoop! 06.18.09

If it’s murder… Who killed Brianna Hughes? Would they really bring Martha Byrne onboard and make her a murderer? Will there be suspicion thrown Alexis’s way? I liked Byrne’s introduction and especially liked her comment to Patrick about not knowing that she was the Mayor’s wife. My first thought was, hmmm, we all should know the Mayor’s wife especially if the Mayor and his wife are central the storyline.

Despite being a big brat lately… Kristina has tried to be the perfect child to impress her mother. What’s the straight A student going to do when she learns her mother ain’t perfect? Hey Kristina haven’t you ever heard of ‘do as I say, not as I do?’ Will Kristina’s disappointment in her mom send her in her nonexistent father’s direction? When Kristina first hit the canvas the story SEEMED to be going in the direction of ‘poor me, daddy pays me no attention.’ Now that it’s Alexis letting her daughter down, will Kristina expect daddy to pick up the slack? I have to say, if you’re going to give Sonny all these kids, he really should be more of a father to them. Who am I kidding… Nikolas hasn’t even seen his son in the last six months, Jason abandoned his in the name of safety; in comparison Sonny is father of the year. God help us.

Sam fans hoping for some Sam-Alexis interaction… You SHOULD get some. Kelly Monaco is just wrapping up her Vegas show and there is some TALK of her taking some vacation time but with the studio going dark that MAY not be the case. There were also RUMORS that Kelly MAY be sitting in as a co-host on The View when Elisabeth Hasselbeck takes maternity leave. I’m not a loyal follower of The View. Don’t they typically take a little summer break soon? But back to Sam and Alexis… their interaction MAY not be all warm and fuzzy at first. In fact, some RUMORS suggest that Alexis COULD be unleashing some repressed anger on her daughter.

What’s sending Alexis in a tizzy that has her going off on Sam and disappointing Kristina? The Mayor outs their affair. It’s an affair that happened off-screen and was hinted at way back when. I’m not sure how or why Mayor Floyd thinks publicly stating he had an affair with the DA will help his current situation unless he’s making good on a threat to the DA. Alexis has been working overtime trying to get Diane to drop the malpractice lawsuit. Is the Mayor thinking let’s draw attention to my affair with the DA and away from the dead girl?

Claudia’s hit gone wrong… Will Johnny have an opportunity to take Jason out? Will he take it or save him? SPOILERS all along have said that Johnny and Jason make it out ok and that Johnny comes to Jason’s aid. I’m looking forward to this to a certain degree. While I’m not against the mob, I’d really love a break from the usual suspects being front and center (yesterday was a great day for that) but I have always said I thought Johnny and Jason would make a good team.





How do we like the medical mystery so far? I’m not hating it but I’m not in love with yet either. Typically, GH finds a way to involve the usual suspects in storylines that they really have no business being in and that irks me. I get Sam’s involvement as she was hired by the Mayor’s wife and she is Alexis’s daughter. Jason really doesn’t need to be a factor as he has his hands full babysitting Sonny’s kids and shouldn’t he nail Claudia once and for all? My biggest gripe with it though is that it seems to be pulling away from Matt Hunter. I like Jason Cook and ever since he joined GH I’ve been waiting for a good storyline for him. This was supposed to be that storyline. It SEEMS that Scrubs is going to get more action and that Alexis’s part of the story MAY overshadow Matt’s. I’m not against Alexis getting some much deserved screen time, I was just hoping for more Matt. By the way… loved his drunken mess the other day.

The Q’s… How much airtime will they get thanks to Michael? Will Tracy be involved or will she be too consumed with her missing husband? What about Michael moving in? It LOOKS like with Morgan being involved in the mob violence, Carly decides Casa Corinthos is not the place for Michael to live. If he can’t live with her and Jax either, are the Q’s Carly’s only option?

Fight Club… Are Elizabeth and Rebecca the prize fighters in a girl fight?

The Spencers… With Luke “missing” will the brothers team up? Will Lucky investigate his new sibling with the intention of getting him to leave Port Charles behind?

Nikolas and NotEmily… Will he ever learn the truth about Rebecca and her conning ways? Who will be there for him? Is Jason going to buy what Rebecca is selling? Will someone take issue with his easy acceptance of the conman’s story?

What’s going on with Ric? He’s leaving PC soon and up to no good. What exactly does he have cooking with Andrea Floyd? Are his plans on track?

Spixie… So much for Maxie’s two week vacay. RUMOR has it Spinelli once again puts a halt to their love affair.

Steve Burton isn’t the only one with a contract coming up…. Jason Thompson, Kimberly McCullough and Kelly Monaco also have some negotiations coming their way if they’re not already happening.

This Dominic character… so all the RUMORS said he was Dante. At first glance I thought no way he’s too old as the actor is thirty. But after a lengthy debate with our very own Luke about the industry norm of playing much younger than you actually are, I’ve since changed my mind. Now, was that Bensonhurst drop a little too obvious? And really no offense to Mr. Zamprogna but with all the hoopla surrounding Tom Pelphrey and GH’s desire to land him in the role of Dante how do you go from a soap stud to someone most fans know nothing about? I’ve read up on Mr. Zamprogna and his resume is impressive so I do not doubt that he has the chops to pull it off and lately the casting department has done a decent job with these newbies but IF this is Dante, it’s quite a switch from the big name they were going for.

What about Kristina and Dominic? Remember Sonny and Alexis’s daughter was mentioned in the press release about his casting. Is Kristina going to help out an injured Dominic? Is this a re-do of when Maxie helped Zander? The good old days… Will Kristina help Dominic into Daddy’s house? What else is going on with Kristina? RUMORS of her deflowering! Is the Quartermaine boathouse getting dusted off?

About Dante… We know that Olivia thought that keeping his paternity a secret was what was best for her son. IF Dominic is Dante, he’s obviously following in Daddy’s footsteps to a certain degree. RUMORS have said that he COULD be an undercover agent and let’s not forget, Sam MAY factor into this character’s story. Early July MAY be when we learn the truth. Remember, there were also RUMORS that despite Olivia’s best intentions to keep Dante away from his father and the life he leads, Dante MAY have found himself in the same line of work as dear old dad. What story would you like to see? Dante as an undercover fed or as another mobster?

Another crazy back in town… and I can’t be happier about it. Yes I know most of you already have heard that ZaCrazy is coming back to town. I’m a little late on scooping that for y’all but we’ll address that later on. Bruce Weitz had said he was planning on retirement after his run with GH was done. He never said he wouldn’t return to Port Chuckles!

The Mayor is taking Alexis down with him… SPOILER has it that when he’s arrested for murder, he outs their affair. Is he really the one who murdered the mistress?

Here’s the Scoop! 06.25.09

Alexis… her deep dark secrets come into the light of day and there’s one little tumultuous teen who ain’t interested in forgiving mommy. What will the DA do when the Mayor tries to take some of the heat off him by putting it on her?

Kristina… what’s up with her and the newbie mobster? Is Dominic her brother? Will he be with her in the Quartermaine boathouse when Tracy catches the teen with her “pants down?” How much longer will Alexis buy her innocent act? Just how close will she and Dominic get?

Is Dominic Dante? That SEEMS to be what’s happening. The mags (although they don’t always get it right) are reporting that Dominic is Dante. So what’s in store for Sonny’s eldest child now that he’s finally made it to Port Chuckles? Olivia will still try to keep her kid away from his father despite his apparent chosen career path. For now, we’ll just call him Dominic who starts working for Sonny. Will he be Kristina’s guard as previously RUMORED? Wouldn’t Jason be looking into this dude before he gets the gig? Are they determined to ruin Jason Morgan for me?

Claudia… I mentioned Jax blackmailing the mob moll but really is that a good plot point? Who hasn’t tried to blackmail Claudia over this shooting? And didn’t most of them fail miserably at it? Claudia can’t pull off a mob hit and no one can successfully blackmail her.

Who murdered Brianna Hughes? I’m sure I would be more into this story if I had actually known who Brianna Hughes was. Hell I’d take more about the Mayor prior to this to pique my interests. Not that I’m advocating the death of a well known character but couldn’t this have been a murder mystery about a character we have more time invested in? So who killed the mistress? Andrea? Robin and Patrick are on the case but Robin is the one with super spy blood running through her veins. I love Robin and love that this storyline is somewhat focused on the hospital but how about Mac cracks the case? Guza’s beloved mobsters stay intact and the PCPD actually solves something for a change. But that would mean someone would have to let go of their endless need to make law enforcement look like idiots. Who APPEARS to be the prime suspect and who will Robin try to prove isn’t the killer? Could Robin’s quest for the truth put her in harm’s way?

The Con and the look-a-like… NotEmily and Ethan have a deal but were feelings ever factored in? Will they be able to get out of Helena’s clutches? Will Rebecca have to choose between Nikolas and Ethan? Will Ethan make an idle threat to blow Rebecca out of the harbor?

RANDOM and CRAZY … With Frons wanting the Carly, err Claudia – Sonny pairing will we really see an attempt at Sonny and Olivia? Sam and Jason on an adventure? It’s been out there and what has them hitting the road? The teens they’ve been reduced to babysitting. Spixie fans… this MAY be your summer. Jerry’s return- short term… ZaCrazy’s MAY be for only one episode. What’s CRAZY about that is that it’s only one ep! Will Carly catch a clue about her Mr. Man? Andrea plants evidence.

Thank God it’s Friday! It’s been a long week with far too many sad stories. Which is exactly why I look to my guilty pleasure to uplift me, not bring me down any further. Can GH pull itself out of its slump to pull the fans out from theirs?

They could have started by giving Rick Hearst a better send off… Can we even call what we got a send off? Ric mentioning to Claudia and Diane that he’s leaving town for an offer he couldn’t refuse in LA. Is that how you write out an Emmy winning actor? I know, I know, there wasn’t enough time is their excuse. There was plenty of time. The minute Hearst was dropped to recurring an exit should have been prepared. They didn’t seriously think another show wasn’t going to come and snatch him up, did they? GH isn’t that full of themselves, are they? I’m sorry, this fan is bitter. Was that parting line of “I’ll be back” supposed to ease our pain or toy with our emotions? I’m not sure if there are enough words to describe just how disappointed I am in this sendoff.

More Coleman? It was nice to see Coleman back behind the bar at Jake’s and the bar SEEMS to be getting a resurgence of scenes. It bothered me when some day player filled in the other day but it LOOKS like Coleman will be making another appearance soon. YAY!

Who’s Robin’s suspect? Robin thinks she knows who really killed Brianna Hughes. Will Andrea Floyd overhear Dr. Scorpio’s suspicions? What will the first lady of PC do with that info? But will there be more to this story? Like Robin clearing the name of someone she cares about?





So I already mentioned a few times that the Mayor is taking Alexis down with him. Why? He wants to take some of the heat and press off of him by putting it on Alexis. Apparently, an affair with the Mayor means the DA can’t do her job. So what does an arrest for murder mean for the Mayor? But is the Mayor’s intention to get the charges dropped by claiming that Alexis is just a jealous ex-lover? Kristina is mortified when the news of her mother’s indiscretion hits the news. All bets are off and apparently so is Kristina’s good girl act.

It’s weird to not be dishing about the usual suspects being dragged into the PCPD. Hey it’s still weird to me that we hardly see the PCPD anymore. It used to just be the fans having to dispel reality enough to believe that criminals walk free in Guza’s world. Now, they don’t even bother to show the PCPD anymore. But they must have used the set while they had it rolled out. There are RUMORS of Jason being brought in for questioning. What’s Diane to do? She took a high profile medical malpractice suit because Corinthos – Morgan have been “unusually law abiding.” Will Jason’s “questioning” take her away from the big case?

Michael, Michael Motorcycle… No! Just feeding into everyone’s insistence that Michael is Jason’s biological son. As previously SCOOPED, Sonny buys his boy a sports car and apparently he didn’t clear it with Carly first who is even more convinced that Michael should move in with the Q’s. Now, I love the Quartermaines and while I would love nothing more than to see them get some much deserved story, IF written properly, the Q’s are hardly a moral compass. Yes their business is legit but the Q’s have historically not been on the up and up where business or personal matters are concerned. This is where Jax’s blackmail of Claudia comes in. He wants her to help persuade Sonny that the Q Mansion is the best place for Michael to reside. Jason is initially against the idea but agrees that at the very least, Michael will be safe. Will Michael have the old man snowed too? RUMOR has it Edward is a little too permissive with his great – grandson and despite Michael being upset with Jason and Sonny for agreeing with Carly, he may be changing his mind when he has Edward giving in to his every wish.

Spixie Stall? Not in that sense. Maxie is ready to go all steam ahead and Spinelli puts on the breaks. Why? He wants to court her properly. Awwww, now that’s a love story. And now that I’ve said that, they’ll screw it up.

RANDOM and CRAZY… Ethan’s spying… Will he blow Rebecca’s cover? Will Ethan be a jealous lover or worried that Rebecca is going to back out on their con and leave him hanging? My new favorite duo, Johnny and Jason will be working together again. Who is Johnny loyal to? Not his sister apparently as Dominic wants him to help but Johnny refuses to aid the newbie in taking Sonny down. But Johnny MAY have his own issues with Sonny as he thinks Olivia isn’t as over Sonny as she proclaims to be.

It’s been confirmed by SOAPnet… Dominic is Dante!

The month of July starts with fireworks, as usual, but look for the explosions to continue all month long on "General Hospital." Let's tackle the big one right off the bat: Dominic is Dante! Dante is Dominic! Yes, Olivia's son -- and Sonny's secret firstborn -- turns out to be one and the same with the gun-wielding thug who made his first impression on Port Charles by holding Morgan hostage in the woods. Hey, guess we know why those two seemed to have such a strong rapport: they're brothers! But does Dante know that? And does Olivia know her son is trying to get a job in Sonny's organization? It's a whole bucketful of questions that's getting uncovered. But look for Olivia to find herself drawn to Sonny in the next few weeks, which is not going to make "Jolivia" fans (like, um, us) happy at all.


So Dante… I like the actor, I’m still not sure how they go from the big soap names they were trying to woo to this guy. Hopefully lightening strikes twice, or three times with the casting department as they did a fantastic job with Michael and Kristina. Time will tell and really, the actor can be fantastic but if the story sucks, does anyone really care?

What I’m waiting to see… Dante and Johnny! That SHOULD be good. I can’t wait for Dante to find out his mother is sleeping with Johnny. Here’s to hoping the writers don’t screw this one up.





Michael… Will it be brother vs. brother as PREVIOUSLY RUMORED? Michael wants in and apparently so does Dominic/Dante. OR will he move onto bigger and better things at ELQ? Now that he resides at the Q Mansion will Michael find himself in more trouble? SPOILERS have said that Edward MAY be too permissive with his great grandson. Is that how all this RUMORED mess happens with Michael and his car? Is he driving illegally or did Michael earn his license in record time? Will Sonny be bailing Michael out of his troubles by throwing his godfather weight around?





Karaoke Hospital… It’s an all (well almost) cast day! Jake’s has a karaoke night and everyone is there. Scrubs, Spixie, Lucky, Lulu, Elizabeth, Nikolas, that Emily look-a-like, Max, and Coleman! Who takes the mic? I love these fun episodes!





The Mayor, the Mistress and the Mess… We need a shorter nickname for this storyline. I have to agree with many (and Luke) I am really liking Martha Byrne as Andrea Floyd. Am I still a little agitated over the whole storyline and who the main characters are? Yes, but I’m trying to overlook that to enjoy Ms. Byrne. I still stand by my original statements that a little more build up would have helped. I do however have one gripe and that is the diminished role of Matt. I was hoping he’d have more to do. Who will Andrea frame for murder? Will Alexis be the next suspect in Brianna Hughes’s murder? SPOILER has it Alexis is put on a leave as the DA while she must clear her name.

Jerry… what’s got him coming back and when will he hit PC? It looks like mid-July is the timing of his return. OLD RUMORS had him returning to go toe to toe with Claudia but will that mess with Jax’s blackmail of the mob moll?

Will Jason turn to an unlikely ally in his quest to take down Claudia? It looks like Jason heads to visit Anthony in prison for dirt on Claudia. Does ZaCrazy know she hired the hit gone bad when Michael took a bullet meant for Sonny?

Ethan wants cold hard cash… and Rebecca’s eye is not on the prize. Will he have to remind NotEmily that she’s supposed to be getting money and not love. Has Rebecca had a change of heart? Does she want Emily’s life more than the cold hard cash? Ethan needs to keep her in line so he threatens to tell Nikolas the truth if she doesn’t get with the program.





CRAZY and RANDOM RUMORS… Re-do? Will Kristina run into a little trouble with her boyfriend ala Lulu or Maxie? Are they really going to tease more of Elizabeth and Nikolas? Who’s bedding Andrea Floyd? Sam and Elizabeth scenes? Helena has Luke… but who’s this gal she’s got locked up with him? RUMORS had suggested that Lucky may know her from his time as Helena’s prisoner. Molly's debut, after her daddy has already skipped town, such a shame.

Here’s the Scoop! 06.30.09

I love all the Spixie love! Dare I say TPTB are actually listening to the fans? Despite the heat that was JoMax, Spixie fans have held strong and wanted their couple and it appears it is all steam ahead for the computer geek turned PI and his Maxinista. More to come? Yep and no worries, their loving that was cut short yesterday will happen and it will be for all the right reasons. That courting I was talking about the other day? Its coming and when Spinelli serenades Maxie at Jake’s karaoke night everything seems oh so right. I haven’t been a fan of the sex hospital; it just seems so trashy when the fans want love in the afternoon. This is love in the afternoon people, writers pay attention.

Another accident? Well Kristina is running around stealing cars with only a learner’s permit. Michael doesn’t even have a license and gets a fancy sports car. Of course there is something coming up that involves the teens and a car accident. It’s inevitable and the writers are pretty much slapping us in the face with the set up. So who’s driving? Who’s the victim? Who’s covering it up? When the children of a mobster are involved in an accident you can bet it will be covered up. Look at Michael when he shot Kate and skipped town. Is Kate once again the victim at the hands of one of Sonny’s kids? She’s been RUMORED to be the one that gets hit but is it someone else? The ASSUMPTION IF it is Kate who is hit is that this will be her exit story with Kate either dying from her injuries or finally having enough and leaving town. Those RUMORS said that Kate would try to spill a secret before losing consciousness and it’s Sonny who she’s trying to spill to. What if it isn’t Kate who gets hit by a Corinthos? RUMORS are suggesting that it MAY be another kid on the canvas. Before everyone starts screaming Cameron or Jake… that’s not what I’m hearing. It MAY be Kristina’s “friend” Kiefer. But is it Michael or Kristina behind the wheel? EARLIER RUMORS had Kristina driving and Michael taking the fall for his baby sis.

Remember, this should be kicking off the summer story of Michael and Kristina on the run. The RUMORS say that Michael takes the blame and then the siblings hit the road with Sam and Jason hot on their trail. As typical, the RUMORS don’t stop at Kiefer being the victim. One RUMOR suggests that Lucky could be the one taking the hit and of course with the GOSSIP that Greg Vaughan has been dropped to recurring, some are SPECULATING that this MAY be Lucky’s exit. So the tally sheet is that it’s Kiefer, Kate or Lucky as the victim.

CRAZIEST RUMOR out there… well there are two circulating. One says Jax is being killed off. I don’t buy it one bit but feel free to discuss away. It’s always the CRAZY ones that seem to get the most attention. The other one isn’t that far off considering there are two women with buns in the oven. Of course it’s a baby switch storyline. Is this all just FANFIC or is this really where TPTB are heading? Some are ASSUMING that Sarah Brown is done when her year is up. This ASSUMPTION plays into the RUMORS that one of the babies doesn’t make it and there’s an old switcheroo. How would you guys like to see this play out? Discuss away and tell us the story you have unraveling in your head. I’m not surprised. For some reason, in Guza-land, every pregnancy has some dire straits. This is just par for the course IMO.





Sonny and Olivia… Are they going there? So many fans are loving JOliva and really have expressed their disinterest in a Sonny – Olivia hook-up. But with Dante hitting town and wanting to work for dear old dad, Olivia’s secret is about to come out and nothing brings Sonny closer to a lady than an illegitimate child.

Speaking of Sonny, Olivia and their offspring… Is Dante a mobster like dad or an undercover agent as once RUMORED? Whatever he is, he’ll try to convince his mom that he’s a mobbie with a heart.





More CRAZY and RANDOM… Patrick gives Spinelli singing tips. Can Patrick sing? I guess we’ll find out. Is Maxie worried Spin will embarrass himself? Liz and Nik? Not sure I’m 100% behind this but at least it wouldn’t be a LL2 re-do and I’m sorry to their fans but this Nikolas-Rebecca thing just plain sucks IMO. More pregnancy troubles ahead for Carly. Does she pass out while fighting with Michael? Will a drunken Ethan spill a little too much to Elizabeth? What will Molly’s role be in all this Corinthos mess? Will Cameron be aged since he was born BEFORE Molly? Molly SHOULD debut this week. What does “Dominic” want with Kristina? Jason gets hauled into the PCPD. Claudia is still gunning for Jason and tells Johnny that Jax is now after her too. Does Patrick believe in Robin’s theory? Hey, remember that other newbie? Ronnie Marmo? He SHOULD be coming soon but what’s his story? I’ll give you one guess who he’s SUPPOSED to be connected too. Sam and Lucky scene? It's been RUMORED to be happening.

Which brings me to a rant… Finally the PCPD gets a little screen time and where’s Detective Spencer? At Kelly’s dealing with his “brother.” Are you kidding me? There isn’t much for the PCPD to do and poor Lucky is constantly written as an idiot the very least they could have done was have him at work for those scenes.

Last summer wasn't bad enough with JoLoo they just had to have two idiots on the run again while cooking up some half assed attempt at having Jasam sharing the screen again. PARENTS, they are not.

Here’s the Scoop! 07.01.09

Dominic/Dante… What’s in a name anyways? Apparently Dante wanted to protect his mother from his line of work and decided to change his name to Dominic. Protecting the innocent huh Dante? Well Olivia isn’t so innocent. She’s been keeping secrets from everyone about who Dante’s daddy is. How long will we have to wait this reveal out? Not sure but don’t expect for it to be out in the open just yet.

Claudia’s role in Dante’s story… Dominic wants Claudia to smooth things over with Sonny and get him on the inside. Will Sonny just give the man who held a gun on his boys and Carly a job? Really, what’s going to stop Sonny from killing Dominic on the spot? Obviously something does and it doesn’t appear to be the reveal that he’s actually Sonny’s son.

Kudos to Maurice Benard and Steve Burton… those scenes yesterday were the Sonny and Jason of old. So many emotions coming off them in waves. Is this a rare glimpse or a sign of what’s to come?

Rebecca, Nikolas, Ethan, boring… I’m sorry, I really am. I used to be a huge fan of the NEM pairing but this re-do is garbage. There has been no magic recaptured, I don’t buy this love story at all, I’m not feeling any sort of confliction on Rebecca’s part and this hyper speed of a relationship is laughable. They drag their feet on other pairings but Nikolas is asking Rebecca to move in with him? Will the ladies in Nik’s life team up to uncover the mess that he’s gotten himself into? Will someone come to Rebecca’s defense?

CRAZY RUMOR that Kate may never return to PC! With all the TALK over who is the victim of the hit and run, the LATEST is that Kate MAY not even be back in town to get hit by a car. COULD she be calling Olivia with the news that she plans to stay in Paris? Is that why we never saw the story about her blackmail and Jax learning that Kate was sabotaging Crimson unfold? Why am I surprised? GH gave Rick Hearst the worst send off in the history of the show… wait; Nadine’s (Claire Coffee)was pretty bad as well… I really shouldn’t expect anything more for Megan Ward.

Reports that the Kiefer character, you know Kristina’s friend has been bumped to recurring status. RUMORS had said TPTB were looking to bulk up Kristina and Michael’s friends. I don’t even have the words…

CRAZY and RANDOM… Is Uncle Rudy coming to PC? Is ZaCrazy calling Jason for a meeting? Ethan’s jealous. A proposal? Marriage or something else? Sebastian Roche tweeted that he’s back for a month and has already started taping. Luke just posted the news... Lisa LoCicero is now on contract!
